Abstract

Learning of Hindu Religious Education and Character in class IV of SD Negeri 3 Kenderan is still centered on the teacher with the implementation of the lecture method which causes students to admit they are bored and not interested in learning, which is one of the causes of low activity and student learning outcomes. Teams Game Tournament as a student-centered learning model is applied to solve this problem. This research uses Classroom Action Research which is designed for 2 cycles, the data collection method uses wide observations, tests and questionnaires and is analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in student learning activity from the pre-cycle condition with an average value of 7.76, increasing to 14.04 in the second cycle with the active category, student learning outcomes also increased from the initial condition with an average value of 69.76 and the classical completeness percentage was 47.61%, increasing in cycle II with an average value of 80 and the classical completeness percentage was 90.47%. Student responses obtained an average score of 19.14 in the Positive category. It can be concluded that the teams game tournament type cooperative learning model has succeeded in increasing student activity and learning outcomes.
