PENGUATAN PERILAKU SUSILA MELALUI PENERAPAN NILAI-NILAI DASA YAMA BRATA DI LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH

Dasa Yama Brata are ten noble teachings in Hinduism which serve as guidelines for developing attitudes and behavior based on spiritual values. These values include anrasma (patience), ksama (forgiveness), damah (self-control), arjawa (honesty), matriya (friendship), prasadha (sincerity), madurya (modesty), ahimsa (non-violence), tapasya (control lust), and śānti (peace). In Bali, the implementation of Dasa Yama Brata values is the main basis for building a harmonious relationship between humans, nature and God (Tri Hita Karana). In social life, these values are reflected in various social and cultural activities such as mutual cooperation, traditional ceremonies, and decision making that upholds deliberation to reach consensus. For example, the values of damah and śānti encourage people to resolve conflicts with dialogue and self-control, while the values of matriya and prasadha strengthen relationships between individuals through attitudes of friendship and sincerity. Apart from that, applying the value of ahimsa in protecting the environment also supports nature conservation which is an integral part of Balinese people's lives. Implementing the values of Dasa Yama Brata not only strengthens social relations but also creates a sustainable balance. The harmony resulting from the application of these values can become a model of social life that is relevant in facing the challenges of globalization and modernization without abandoning local wisdom. Thus, Dasa Yama Brata becomes the main pillar in creating a harmonious, ethical and high moral society in Bali.
