Abstract

Teachers at SD Negeri 2 Gianyar face problems in learning, low achievement in learning Hinduism for class I students, where the level of student mastery in knowing themselves and the environment and being grateful for God's gifts is lacking. This research aims to find out how high the achievement of learning Hinduism is in knowing oneself and being grateful for God's gifts after implementing compassion for fellow humans using the habituation method. This research is classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative research methods. The instruments used to collect data are observation guidelines, documentation, and learning outcomes test sheets. Qualitative data analysis technique, namely comparing the average percentage value of cycle I with cycle II. Therefore, this research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of one meeting. The research results show an increase in the learning process and student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average grade achieved by students was 75.00 with a learning completion percentage of 75%. Meanwhile, in cycle II the class average was 80.00 with a learning completion percentage of 85%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Habituation Method can improve the Hindu Religion Learning Achievement in Knowing Yourself and the Environment and Being Grateful for God's Gifts for Class I Semester I Students.
