Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the understanding of the Tri Murti concept among Group B kindergarten children through role-playing methods. The Tri Murti, encompassing Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, is a fundamental concept in Hindu religious education that should be introduced from an early age. Role-playing was chosen as it provides engaging and meaningful learning experiences for young children.

The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 20 Group B children. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively using qualitative methods.

The results showed that the implementation of the role-playing method significantly enhanced children’s understanding of the Tri Murti concept. In the first cycle, children's understanding reached 65%, which increased to 85% in the second cycle. Children were more active, enthusiastic, and able to comprehend the Tri Murti concept effectively through well-designed role-play activities tailored to their needs.

Thus, the role-playing method is effective in improving the understanding of the Tri Murti concept in Group B kindergarten children. This study recommends the use of role-playing as an innovative learning strategy for introducing religious and cultural values in early childhood education.
