Abstract

Based on preliminary data, 30 students showed that student motivation and learning outcomes during the Covid 19 pandemic were low. Of the 30 students, only 15 students completed scores above KKM 70. This research was designed with two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II, data collection methods were carried out using questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive. The research results achieved were that student learning motivation increased, namely in cycle I student learning motivation reached 56.25% which was in the medium category and in cycle II student learning motivation reached 66.67% which was in the high category. Only 6 students or 25% of students obtained complete grades in the pre-cycle, in cycle I after implementing learning video media and Kahoot the average (Mean) increased significantly in cycle I with a number of 70 and in cycle II with a number of 81.42 there was an average increase of 12.59 points, of which there was an increase of 11.42 points. The application of learning video media and Khaoot can be used effectively in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic in Teacher Chess material in Class V of SD Negeri 1 Kesiut for the 2020/2021 academic year.
