Abstract

Moral education is one part of knowledge, which must be learned in the early stages of learning, especially in the family sphere as an informal educational institution. Moreover, moral education is one of the guidelines in forming a harmonious family. In the teachings of Hinduism, the stories of Lord Ganesha are noble stories that are directly sourced from Vedic literature, so that they contain ethical and moral values ​​for humans in the world. Reflecting on this, this study is interested in studying more deeply about the stories of Lord Ganesha, to find the moral education contained therein. In this study, several problems were also formulated, namely related to moral education in the family, stories of Lord Ganesha, and moral education contained therein. By using research methods with qualitative research types, and literature studies and using data analysis from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the story of Dewa Ganesha contains various ethical and moral values ​​for children, mothers, and fathers in the family environment. By knowing the moral education, it is certainly useful as a guide in forming a harmonious family.
