PERAN LSM BLI BRAYA DALAM PELESTARIAN TARI TOPENG SIDAKARYA BERBASIS NILAI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA HINDU

Abstrak

This research is motivated by various obstacles in preserving the Topeng Sidakarya dance
in Sudaji Village, Buleleng, such as low interest among the younger generation, limited
documentation, popular culture competition, lack of philosophical understanding, and
financial constraints. This study aims to examine the optimization of the Bli Braya NGO's
role in preserving the dance, and analyze the methods used alongside the Hindu Religious
Education values within it. The method utilized is descriptive qualitative, with data
collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies,
analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that the Bli Braya NGO implements
four optimization methods: education/training, collaboration/partnership, community
participation (ngayah), and spiritual/philosophical approaches. The dance performance
contains five Hindu Religious Education values: ritual, philosophical (tattwa), aesthetic,
ethical (susila), and psychological. This study concludes that the Bli Braya NGO plays a
strategic role as a facilitator for preserving sacred art through community synergy,
ensuring the Topeng Sidakarya dance is preserved and its religious values sustainably
inherited by the younger generation.
