BOOTSTRAPPING SINTAKSIS PADA PERKEMBANGAN BAHASA ANAK USIA DINI

Penelitian ini menyelidiki proses bootstrapping sintaksis pada balita, fokus pada bagaimana anak-anak memanfaatkan struktur kalimat untuk memahami makna kata-kata baru. Bootstrapping sintaksis adalah mekanisme penting dalam akuisisi bahasa, di mana anak-anak menggunakan pengetahuan sintaksis mereka yang sedang berkembang untuk menyimpulkan makna kata-kata yang belum dikenal. Studi longitudinal ini melibatkan 15 balita berusia 2-4 tahun, yang diikuti selama satu tahun. Melalui serangkaian tugas eksperimental yang dirancang khusus, kami menguji kemampuan anak-anak untuk menggunakan informasi sintaksis dalam menafsirkan kata kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan bootstrapping sintaksis berkembang secara signifikan selama periode penelitian. Anak-anak menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam menggunakan struktur argumen untuk menyimpulkan makna kata kerja baru. Analisis regresi mengungkapkan korelasi positif antara kemampuan bootstrapping sintaksis dan ukuran kosakata anak, menunjukkan hubungan timbal balik antara perkembangan sintaksis dan leksikal. Selain itu, perbedaan individual dalam kemampuan bootstrapping sintaksis terkait dengan variasi dalam input linguistik yang diterima anak-anak dari pengasuh mereka. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang mekanisme yang mendasari akuisisi bahasa awal dan menyoroti pentingnya bootstrapping sintaksis dalam pembelajaran kata. Implikasi dari penelitian ini relevan untuk teori perkembangan bahasa, intervensi bahasa awal, dan strategi pengajaran bahasa.
