Abstract

Kesiapan anak menghadapi pendidikan formal di tingkat awal merupakan aspek yang krusial dan perlu dipersiapkan sejak dini, terutama melalui pendidikan anak usia dini. Orangtua memainkan peran sentral dalam membentuk kesiapan anak sebelum mereka memasuki jenjang pendidikan formal yang lebih tinggi. Studi kasus ini dirancang untuk menjalani eksplorasi yang mendalam dan khusus mengenai kasus yang melibatkan peran orangtua dalam mempersiapkan anak usia dini untuk memasuki sekolah dasar. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga pasang orang tua (total 6 orang) yang memiliki anak usia dini berusia 6-7 tahun yang akan memasuki jenjang Sekolah Dasar dan telah memberikan izin tertulis untuk berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini terdapat tiga metode dalam pengumpulan data, yaitu wawancara terstruktur, observasi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkap beberapa peran orangtua dalam mempersiapkan anak usia dini untuk memasuki sekolah dasar, termasuk peran sebagai pendidik, penyedia dukungan emosional, pendorong keterampilan sosial, pendorong kemandirian, dan model perilaku moral. Data yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini diharapkan akan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang peran dan kontribusi orangtua dalam mempersiapkan anak-anak usia dini menghadapi jenjang pendidikan formal berikutnya.
