STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN EKOWISATA SUBAK UMA LAMBING SEBAGAI DAYA TARIK WISATA ALAM DI DESA SIBANG KAJA, KECAMATAN ABIANSEMAL, KABUPATEN BADUNG
Abstract
The Uma Lambing Subak in Sibang Kaja Village has great potential as an ecotourism-based tourist attraction, but its development has not been carried out professionally and optimally. This study aims to identify internal and external factors and formulate appropriate development strategies to increase the number of tourist visits while maintaining the sustainability of the subak environment. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through direct observation, in-depth interviews with management and community members, documentation studies, and literature studies. Data analysis was conducted using the SWOT method by mapping the IFAS and EFAS matrices. The results show that the main strength of the Uma Lambing Subak Ecotourism lies in the beautiful natural panorama of rice fields and the authentic traditional subak irrigation system as a cultural heritage. However, obstacles were found in the form of limited supporting tourism infrastructure and conventional promotional strategies. Recommended development strategies include optimizing digital- based promotional content, strengthening the active participation of local communities in ecotourism management, and protecting agricultural land from the threat of land conversion through strict regulations. Through the implementation of this strategy, it is hoped that the management of Subak Uma Lambing Ecotourism can run sustainably and provide a positive economic impact on the welfare of local residents without damaging environmental integrity and cultural values.
