Abstract

Effective communication within an organization and the implementation of a leadership style that respects local wisdom values are believed to foster a balanced work environment and promote positive organizational behavior. In the context of Bali Province, local wisdom values rooted in Hindu teachings, such as Asta Brata and the principle of togetherness, have significant potential to be internalized into leadership styles and organizational communication practices. Communication that facilitates upward, downward, and horizontal information flow can also encourage positive behavior among organizational members. In practice, however, organizational behavior at the Bali Provincial Representative Office of BKKBN often fluctuates, with employees sometimes demonstrating loyalty and at other times appearing indifferent. Changes in leadership are frequently accompanied by changes in communication methods, raising questions about whether leadership style and organizational communication influence organizational behavior within the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Bali Provincial Office. Accordingly, the research questions were formulated as follows: (1) Does Hindu leadership style have an impact on organizational behavior at the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Bali Provincial Office? (2) Does organizational communication satisfaction affect organizational behavior at the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Bali Provincial Office? (3) Can Hindu leadership style shape organizational communication satisfaction? This study employed a quantitative research method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 employees of the Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Bali Provincial Office. Prior to data collection, validity and reliability tests were conducted on field officers working in Denpasar City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine whether each variable had an individual or simultaneous effect on the dependent variable. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the study found that: (1) Hindu leadership style has a significant influence on organizational behavior; (2) organizational communication satisfaction has a significant influence on organizational  behavior; and (3) Hindu leadership style and organizational communication satisfaction do not significantly influence each other, but together they significantly affect organizational behavior. Furthermore, the findings indicate that 49% of organizational behavior is shaped by leadership styles based on local teachings and organizational communication. Strengthening leadership and organizational communication can therefore help institutions foster positive behavior among organizational members.
