This study examines emotional recovery from grief through the perspectives of psychology and Hinduism. Joy and sorrow are common experiences in human life; however, grief often evolves into a prolonged life struggle when individuals fail to exercise self-control. The experience of grief can be addressed through both psychological and Hindu religious analyses. From a psychological standpoint, recovery involves accepting the loss, gradually managing emotions, and resuming one's life. From a Hindu perspective, recovery is facilitated by cultivating the awareness that grief arising from loss or death is an inherent part of the cycle of life. Teachings from the *Bhagavad Gita* and *Sarasamuscaya* emphasize the impermanence of life, highlighting the necessity of controlling the mind and expectations, as well as the ability to accept change. Thus, the process of emotional recovery can be achieved through a combination of psychological understanding, social support, and spiritual and cultural values.
