Abstract

       Religious activities embodied in sacred rites serve as a sign that these bonds serve as a strengthening medium for the Balinese people in building and maintaining their culture against the influence of various new cultures. Balinese culture is born from the religious tendencies of its people, who intensely display all forms of beauty as a form of worship. This idea can provide an empirical picture regarding the established concept of Balinese culture rooted in the cultivation of inner "feelings," such as the culture of the Sukawana Village community with the attributes of the priest Jero Kubaya Mucuk as its leader.

       Oriented to the background, the problem can be formulated as follows: 1. What is the structure of Jero Kubayan Mucuk's priestly attributes in Bali Aga culture in Sukawana Village? 2. What is the function of Jero Kubayan Mucuk's priestly attributes in Bali Aga culture in Sukawana Village? 3. What is the meaning of Jero Kubayan Mucuk's priestly attributes in Bali Aga culture in Sukawana Village? In general, this study aims to reveal the types and meanings of Jero Kubayan Mucuk's priestly attributes in Sukawana Village. This study uses structural functional and semiotic theories. The data sources in this study are direct sources (primary) obtained in the field as a result of observation and scrutiny of Jero Kubayan Mucuk's priestly attributes. Meanwhile, indirect sources (secondary) can be obtained through books, articles, written documents, and so on from libraries or other places.

The informants in this study were determined purposively. Data collection methods used included direct observation of the research object (observation), interviews, and literature review. After the data was obtained, it was analyzed by reducing it, then presenting it, and drawing conclusions. Based on the analysis of the problem formulation above, the structure of the Jero Kubayan Mucuk Panditaan Attributes in Bali Aga Culture in Sukawana Village can be identified, including the structure of clothing and accessories. The functions of the Jero Kubayan Mucuk Panditaan Attributes in Bali Aga Culture in Sukawana Village include theological and social functions. The meanings of the Jero Kubayan Mucuk Panditaan Attributes in Bali Aga Culture in Sukawana Village include the Jujut Shirt as a symbol of nobility, the Sudhamala Kamen as a symbol of purity, the Tapak Dara Kampuh as a symbol of balance and devotion, and the Gita Tali ring as a symbol of mantra binding.
