PERAN PARIWISATA RELIGI DAN BUDAYA DALAM PERMINTAAN WISATA CIREBON

Abstrak

Cirebon, sebagai wilayah yang kaya akan nilai budaya dan religi, memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi destinasi wisata unggulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi peran pariwisata religi dan budaya dalam meningkatkan permintaan wisata di Cirebon. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan mix method, penelitian ini menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif data kedatangan wisatawan dengan analisis kualitatif wacana berita daring melalui metode Structural Topic Modeling (STM) dan Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average with Exogenous Variables (SARIMAX).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa acara budaya, seperti Festival Muludan dan wisata ziarah ke Makam Sunan Gunung Jati, menjadi daya tarik utama bagi wisatawan. Promosi digital melalui media sosial dan keterlibatan influencer, baik manusia maupun virtual, turut meningkatkan eksposur Cirebon sebagai destinasi wisata religi dan budaya. Namun, tantangan keberlanjutan, seperti overturisme dan pengelolaan sampah, perlu segera ditangani agar dapat menjaga kualitas pengalaman wisatawan dan kelestarian destinasi.Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi hubungan antara pemberitaan di media daring dan tren kunjungan wisatawan dengan menggunakan model SARIMAX yang memprediksi permintaan wisata berdasarkan topik-topik berita yang relevan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengelola pariwisata Cirebon dalam merancang strategi promosi yang lebih efektif dan berbasis data. Rekomendasi strategis yang dihasilkan mencakup pengelolaan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan analisis data untuk mendukung pengembangan destinasi wisata religi dan budaya yang lebih efisien dan bertanggung jawab.
