ACTUALIZATION OF THE PANCA SATYA TEACHINGS IN CHARACTER FORMING OF CLASS X STUDENTS IN KUTAPURA SMA

Abstrak

National Education according to the law there are several factors that support why character education is needed in developing the nation's character that comes from religious awareness. Religious education, of course, contains good teachings and does not plunge its people. Panca Satya is one of the teachings of Hinduism which aims to combat bad qualities such as lying through words and deeds. In collecting data the researcher used several appropriate techniques in qualitative research. The data collection techniques used include: non-participant observation techniques, unstructured interview techniques with the determination of informants using snowball techniques and using library research techniques. In the application of the Panca Satya teachings at SMA Kutapura, the teacher uses a cooperative learning strategy of the type of investigation group which has a major impact in shaping the character of students as well as changes in the attitude of the students themselves with the attitude of courtesy, discipline, fostering an attitude of responsibility, and attitude student concern.
