PENERAPAN AJARAN TRI HITA KARANA DALAM MEMBANGUN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA SMPN 3 SEMARAPURA

The Tri Hita Karana philosophy is a conceptual of Balinese Hindu society related to a peaceful and harmonious order of human life. Along with the times, the idea of Tri Hita Karana is inseparable from the local traditions and wisdom of the Balinese people which are always inherited through the level of education at school, especially among teenagers. SMPN 3 Semarapura is one of the schools that applies the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in building students' religious character in order to educate and foster the virtues of students contained in a study with the formulation of the problem: (1) What is the teacher's strategy in applying the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in building students' religious character? (2) How is the support of the residents of SMPN 3 Semarapura for the application of the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in developing students' religious character? (3) What are the implications of the application of the teachings of Tri Hita Karana in shaping the religious character of students? The data source of this study was obtained through primary data sources in the form of behavior patterns and daily habits of students which refer to the religious character of students within the scope of the school. The efforts of SMPN 3 Semarapura to raise the moral gap of students in the modern era are contained in the work program carried out by the school as a form of character education for students, including: (1) Forming a SinDu group (Hindu Students) as role models for religious students, (2) Building solidarity and togetherness through Boga Amertha activities and (3) Preserving the school's natural environment with Clean Saturday activities.
