Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the learning outcomes of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education for Grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Dangintukadaya in the 2024/2025 academic year through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The PBL method was chosen because it encourages students to think critically, collaborate, and actively engage in the learning process. The subjects of this study were 35 Grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Dangintukadaya.

The study was carried out in two stages, each consisting of three meetings: two meetings for conducting the lessons and one meeting for a learning outcome test. The learning provided was the implementation of the PBL model. The data collection method used in this study was a test. The test method was used to gather data on students' learning outcomes. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods.

The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PBL learning model can improve the learning outcomes of Hindu Religious Education and Character Education for Grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Dangintukadaya in the 2024/2025 academic year. In terms of class-wide completeness, students' learning outcomes increased by 25.71% from Stage I to Stage II, from 60% in Cycle I (categorized as sufficient) to 85.71% in Cycle II (categorized as good). Based on the average scores from Cycle I and II, there was an improvement of 2.17 in the average learning outcomes, from 77.06 in Cycle I to 79.23 in Cycle II.
