The region is known for its diverse traditional culinary treasures and is an important part of the local cultural identity. However, the development of the culinary sector cannot be separated from the influence of various legal regulations, both formal ones such as business licensing, halal certification, and food safety standards, as well as informal social norms that live in the community. The research method used is a qualitative approach with field study methods, in-depth interviews with local culinary business actors, and normative analysis of regional regulations and national policies related to food and intangible cultural heritage. This research also examines the dynamics between traditional culinary practices and modern legal demands. The results show that there is a tension between local culinary preservation efforts and the need to fulfill formal legal requirements, such as distribution permits and certification. Many small businesses experience administrative barriers and additional costs in meeting these requirements. On the other hand, there is great potential for the law to play a role in the protection and promotion of traditional cuisine if integrated with cultural and tourism policies. In conclusion, the interaction between gastronomy and law in Kuningan reflects the importance of harmonization between the regulatory framework and socio-cultural dynamics. A more inclusive and contextual legal approach is needed to support the sustainability of local culinary as part of the national cultural heritage.
Nadya Rechtta Utami Copyright (c) 2025 Nadya Rechtta Utami 2025-09-13 2025-09-13 10 2 141 151 10.25078/pariwisata.v10i2.5016 ECONOMIC, SOCIO-CULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY OF BALI SPIRIT FESTIVAL, UBUD, BALI https://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/parbud/article/view/5193
This study aims to explore and analyze the extent to which the principles of economic, socio-cultural, and environmental sustainability are implemented in the Bali Spirit Festival held in Ubud, Bali. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, the data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with eight key informants from the Heads of Department (HOD), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving six operational department heads, and comprehensive document studies. The room redevelopment project at Villa Kayu Raja was implemented using the PMBOK process cycle and driven by both internal inputs from the MOD checklist and external guest feedback. The redevelopment significantly improved room quality and the overall guest experience. Key enhancements included modernized furnishings, upgraded bathroom facilities, improved lighting, and the incorporation of aesthetic design elements, all of which contributed to more positive guest perceptions. Operational benefits were also observed, including increased maintenance efficiency, more streamlined housekeeping processes, and a reduction in guest complaints. Occupancy data analysis indicated a notable post project increase of 93.92%, particularly among Free Independent Travellers (FITs), highlighting a strong correlation between room upgrades and market appeal. Furthermore, guest reviews across major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) reflected higher ratings and frequent mentions of comfort, cleanliness, and interior design as standout features following the redevelopment. These findings support the application of an operational management cycle model in similar redevelopment initiatives. This study contributes and provide practical insights and valuable applied knowledge to the field of hospitality industry, particularly on how strategic room redevelopment projects enhance room quality and increase occupancy rates in similar villa properties.
Forida Ayu Herini I Made Darma Oka Ni Made Ernawati Copyright (c) 2025 Forida Ayu Herini, I Made Darma Oka, Ni Made Ernawati 2025-09-30 2025-09-30 10 2 193 203 10.25078/pariwisata.v10i2.5318 MODEL PENGEMBANGAN PEMBUATAN GARAM PALUNGAN SEBAGAI PRODUK WISATA DI DESA WISATA LES KECAMATAN TEJAKULA KABUPATEN BULELENG https://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/parbud/article/view/5320
Palungan Salt is a unique tourism potential in Les Tourism Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng Regency. This study highlights the potential and appeal of Palungan Salt, explained through the 4A theory: attractions (unique and educational attractions), accessibility (ease of access to the location), facilities (supporting facilities for tourists), and additional services (additional services to support comfort). The results indicate that Palungan Salt has high selling value as an educational tourism destination as well as a creative economy that can strengthen the image of Les Tourism Village in the tourism arena. To overcome these obstacles, the study designed a development model based on community participation, improved facilities, integrated educational programs, sustainable digital promotion, and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen the local economy and preserve cultural heritage. The resulting development model is expected to serve as a strategic reference for managers, village governments, and other stakeholders in improving the quality and number of tourist visits.
