This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the seven universal elements of culture among the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria. This study falls under the category of ethnographic literature studies. The data sources used in this study were obtained from journal articles and official websites, and the data collection in this study used literature study and descriptive analysis techniques. Several findings were obtained from this research. The Yoruba tribe speaks the Yoruboid language with the Igala dialect, which originated in Congo due to the similarity between the two languages and the proximity of Nigeria and Congo. The Yoruba tribe has a tribal leader called Oba and produces traditional woven fabrics called Aso Oke. Some of the Yoruba tribe are Muslim and Christian, while the rest adhere to traditional beliefs, namely Ìṣẹ̀ṣe. The Yoruba tribe earn their living as ranchers, craftsmen, weavers, and farmers using technologies developed by the community there. Traditional cooking equipment is still used by the Yoruba people, such as clay stoves for cooking daily meals and mortars for pounding grains or yams.
