Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the PBL model in enhancing the ability to write Puisi Bali Anyar among 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Banjar during the 2024/2025 academic year. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi- experimental design, specifically the Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The research sample consisted of two classes: class X C as the control group and class X E as the experimental group, which received the PBL intervention. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 29. The statistical test results showed a significance value of < 0.001 for the Paired Sample t-Test and 0.007 for the Independent Sample t-Test, both indicating statistically significant differences between the two groups. These findings confirm that implementing the PBL model has a positive impact on students’ poetry writing skills. Therefore, the PBL approach is proven to be effective for teaching Balinese language, particularly in developing skills in writing contemporary literary works such as Puisi Bali Anyar.
