Women's involvement in entrepreneurship contributes significantly to economic development, particularly at the local level. Womenpreneurs play a strategic role in job creation, household welfare improvement, and community empowerment. This paper is a literature review that examines the contribution of womenpreneurs to local economic development, the challenges they face, and effective empowerment strategies. The findings suggest that empowering female entrepreneurs requires policy support, access to finance, and capacity building through training and mentoring programs.
