In the philosophy of religion, the problematics of evil and suffering pose a challenge to the existence of an all-good, all-powerful and all-knowing God. The theodicy tradition attempts to maintain the coherence of divine attributes with the existence of evil, but often faces various criticisms. This research focuses on Kant's approach to this issue, which rejects the conventional concept of theodicy and shifts the debate from the justification of God to the dimension of human morality. Through a qualitative research method with a philosophical hermeneutic approach, the results in this study show that Immanuel Kant rejected traditional attempts to justify God in the face of evil and suffering, arguing that the theodicy argument fails morally and epistemologically. Instead, Kant proposed that humans should direct their attention to moral obligations and ethical responsibilities to overcome suffering and evil. Kant argued that the human capacity to choose between good and evil is fundamental to the understanding of evil, and that evil is a consequence of the abuse of human moral freedom. In addition, Kant asserted that belief in God should be based on practical morality rather than the speculative evidence often used in theodicy arguments. Kant therefore shifts the focus from a theoretical defence of evil to a practical and ethical approach, which encourages humans to improve the condition of the world through moral action.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama https://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/4259NGANTEN KERIS IN BUNGAYA VILLAGE KARANGASEM (PERSPECTIVE FORM, FUNCTION AND MEANING)2024-11-15T02:53:01+08:00I Wayan Lali Yogantaralaliyoga12@gmail.com
The implementation of the Nganten Keris (keris wedding) in Bungaya Karangasem Village is unique, because during the ceremony, the bride is not paired with the groom, but with a keris instead of the groom. The aim of the research is to determine the form, function and meaning of the Nganten Keris ceremony in Bungaya Karangasem Village. For the sake of smooth research, data was collected using techniques: interviews and literature. In data analysis, activities are carried out, namely: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the research show that the Nganten Keris ceremony in Bungaya Village uses the same facilities as wedding ceremonies in general, and is equipped with a keris as a substitute for the groom, carried out at the groom's house on an auspicious day (adult subha). The Keris Nganten Ceremony in Bungaya Village has a manifest function, namely as a solution to legalize the marriage so that the status of the wife and children is clearly with the groom's family; and has a latent function, namely establishing a kinship relationship between the two parties. The Nganten Keris ceremony in Bungaya Village has a constructive meaning, namely the meeting between the purusa (bridegroom) symbolized by the keris and pradana, namely the bride in the husband-wife bond; cognitive meaning, namely the establishment of social and cultural harmonization, kinship relationships due to marriage in accordance with customary or traditional provisions; has an evaluative meaning, namely as a good intention so that human relations of different sexes (men and women) are bound in one sacred relationship (legitimate husband and wife); means expressive, namely marriage to create pleasure, prosperity and happiness. The research on Nganten Keris which was carried out in Bungaya Karangasem Village is very important because Nganten Keris is seen as a solution for problematic Hindu marriages in order to determine the status of the wife and children born from the marriage.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama https://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/4279IMPLEMENTATION OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN THE VILLAGE OF BUDAKELING KARANGASEM2024-11-25T00:35:42+08:00Komang Dewi Komala Yogantarikyogantari@gmail.comI Wayan Lali Yogantaralaliyoga12@gmail.com
The purpose of this study is to explain the idea of religious moderation and examine how it is used in Budakeling Karagasem Village. Literature reviews and interviews were the techniques employed to get the data. The collected data was subjected to qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study demonstrate that religious moderation, which encompasses the diversity of human existence with religion and culture, is a means of living in harmony, respect for one another, care, and tolerance without having to start a fight over preexisting differences. Budakeling Village's adoption of religious moderation includes aspects: national commitment, namely that people always live side by side without distinction between religions and respect each other, appreciate each other as citizens of the village and nation; tolerance, namely respecting each other's religious life practices and not insulting or harassing them; anti-violence, namely the realization of social harmony, by obeying the rules implemented in traditional villages (awig-awig), and always avoiding violence between individuals and groups who live in Budakeling Village; and friendly towards local culture, namely adapting to and accepting each other's traditions and culture, not vilifying and insulting each other's traditions or culture.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama https://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/4046TRADISI SIAT SAMBUK DALAM UPACARA PENGERUPUKAN DI DESA PAKRAMAN POHGENDING KECAMATAN PENEBEL KABUPATEN TABANAN (PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN AGAMA HINDU)2024-10-18T04:54:14+08:00Ida Ayu Made Dwi Apsari Putriidaayudwiapsarips@gmail.comNi Made Sukernisukernimade1962@gmail.comI Putu Agus Aryatnaya Giriputugiri46@gmail.com
Hindu religious education can be understood through knowledge related to knowledge about Tri Hita Karana. Starting from household needs, professionals and even the social environment, technology also plays a role. The large role of technology is not only beneficial for humans but also something to watch out for. The breadth of access that can be presented through technology is vulnerable to social activities. The growth and development of elementary school children makes technology one of the social environments that they can easily imitate. One of the dangers that arise is bullying behavior on social media or called cyberbullying. This action is one of the anarchic actions in the form of scorn, judgment, insults and terror on an ongoing basis on social media platforms. The importance of education about self-development from an early age should be a reference for parents, one of which is by strengthening the cultivation of religious teachings, especially Hinduism to children. The philosophy that can be taken through religious teachings is Tri Kaya Parisudha. The purpose of this study was to determine the cultivation of tri kaya parisudha teachings to prevent bullying behavior in elementary school children.

2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama
