The purpose of this study is to explain the idea of religious moderation and examine how it is used in Budakeling Karagasem Village. Literature reviews and interviews were the techniques employed to get the data. The collected data was subjected to qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study demonstrate that religious moderation, which encompasses the diversity of human existence with religion and culture, is a means of living in harmony, respect for one another, care, and tolerance without having to start a fight over preexisting differences. Budakeling Village's adoption of religious moderation includes aspects: national commitment, namely that people always live side by side without distinction between religions and respect each other, appreciate each other as citizens of the village and nation; tolerance, namely respecting each other's religious life practices and not insulting or harassing them; anti-violence, namely the realization of social harmony, by obeying the rules implemented in traditional villages (awig-awig), and always avoiding violence between individuals and groups who live in Budakeling Village; and friendly towards local culture, namely adapting to and accepting each other's traditions and culture, not vilifying and insulting each other's traditions or culture.
