Abstract

This research aims to analyse the role of peace education based on Pancasila values in building the foundation of quality education for humanity. Pancasila as the state ideology as well as the philosophical foundation of the nation has essential principles to create an educational environment that encourages peace as contained in each of its principles, namely divinity or moral-religious, humanist, unity, democracy and justice. Through qualitative research methods and descriptive approaches, the results of this study show that peace education oriented towards Pancasila can shape the character of students by strengthening the values of unity, mutual cooperation, responsibility, and respect. Pancasila-based peace education not only provides knowledge, but also provides a strong foundation for the development of character and attitudes that support the creation of a peaceful and harmonious society. This research is expected to contribute to further understanding of the importance of Pancasila values-based peace education in the context of humanity-centred education development.
