Penciptaan Alam Semesta dalam Visnu Purana

Abstract

This article aims to examine Hindu theology by discussing the subject matter of the creation of semsesta nature, the role of Lord Visnu and the meaning of the stories contained in the Book of Visnu Purana. By tracing this book, it is hoped that it can better understand, explore and preserve the understanding of the sources of Hinduism contained in the literary work of the Visnu Purana, where the study of Hindu theological values contained in it has not been done much. The Puranas are works of religious literature in which ancient Indian stories are contained. The Visnu Purana is a transcendental science, not only to know the last source of everything that exists. The Visnu Purana generally deals with the creation of the universe, the story of kings and the manifestation of God symbolized by Lord Visnu. In the Visnu Purana it actually contains a conversation between Rsi Maitria who asked Rsi Parasara about the creation of the universe. The creation of the universe was not only done by Brahma, but Visnu was actively involved in it, even Brahma himself was created from Visnu. This study not only explains the creation of the universe but also explains the role of Visnu during the process of creating the universe.  By opening up wider knowledge through the Book of Visnu Purana, it is hoped that it can further awaken our sradha and bhakti to God Almighty/Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa.
