Perkawinan Pada Gelahang di Bali dalam Perspektif Deontologi Immanuel Kant

Abstract

Marriage is a form of sacred ceremony to enter the period of grahasta asrama from the brahmacari asrama. The purpose of marriage is of course to form a happy and eternal family based on God Almighty. The marriage system in Bali adheres to a patrilineal system, where women follow men. This is certainly a problem when the family only has a male or female only child. Because it is not possible to choose an ordinary marriage form with a patrilineal system or a nyentana marriage form, so the alternative chosen is pada gelahang marriage or "mutual possession". In this marriage, of course there is a goal and obligation to be achieved from both the male family and also the female family to choose the form pada gelahang marriage. This study uses a qualitative method with a philosophical hermeneutic approach and data collection through literature study. The results of this study are 1). Pada gelahang marriage is an alternative form of marriage that already has a philosophical, juridical and sociological basis. 2). There is a deontological ethic in pada gelahang marriage system, namely carrying out the obligation to continue offspring, carrying out Pitra Rna, serving parents by caring for parents, carrying out pengabenan, carrying out social obligations.
