However, the challenge of developing these skills, particularly in young children, remains a key issue in education. This study aims to assess the impact of audiovisual media on improving the expressive language abilities of children at Chamsiyah Kindergarten, located in Ulugalung Village, Bantaeng Regency. The research adopted a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. Data was gathered through observations in a one-group pretest and posttest format. The educational tool employed was audiovisual media. The sample consisted of 15 children aged 5 to 6 years who voluntarily participated in the study. The analysis revealed a significant increase in the average scores between the pretest and posttest. Hypothesis testing showed that the t-statistic was -15.427, compared to a t-table value of 1.761, indicating that the t-statistic was greater than the t-table value, supporting the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Thus, it was concluded that the use of audiovisual media significantly enhanced the expressive language skills of early childhood learners. Syntactic bootstrapping is considered an important mechanism in language acquisition, where children use their developing syntactic knowledge to infer the meaning of unfamiliar words. This longitudinal study involved 15 toddlers aged 2-4 years, who were followed over a year. Through a series of experimental procedures, we tested the children`s ability to use syntactic information to interpret verbs. The results indicate that syntactic bootstrapping ability developed significantly over the study period. Children showed an increased ability to use argument structures to infer the meaning of verbs. Regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between syntactic bootstrapping ability and vocabulary size, suggesting a reciprocal relationship between syntactic and lexical development. Moreover, individual differences in syntactic bootstrapping ability were related to variations in the linguistics input children into the mechanism underlying early language acquisition and highlight the importance of syntactic bootstrapping in word learning. The implications of this study are relevant to theories of language development, early language intervention, and language teaching strategies. Theoretically, this current research can serve as a basis for educational interventions for children who show delays in language development.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nur Lailiyah, Yolanda Rensia Gigikhttps://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/PW/article/view/3962THE LEVEL OF PARENTS' UNDERSTANDING REGARDING BALANCED NUTRITIONAL FOODS AMONG THE MOTHERS OF PKK SHAMARA 2 CIBEREM BANYUMAS2024-07-24T16:02:56+08:00Labib Sajawandisajawandilabib@gmail.comDewi Ambarwatidewiambarwati@ump.ac.idDesti Pujiatidestipujiati@ump.ac.idTatik Ariyatitatikariyati26@gmail.comKasiro Fatmawatikasirofatma@gmail.com
This research aims to determine parents' understanding of balanced nutrition, a study of mothers at PKK Shamara 2 Ciberem Banyumas. This research is based on initial observations by Posyandu administrators that the body weight of Per u m Shamara 2 children tends to decrease with age. This is based on the assumption that parents' preparation for MPASI does not follow the recommended principles of balanced nutrition. This research design is explained quantitatively. The method used is a survey. The population of this study consisted of mothers who were members of PKK Shamara 2, C iberem, and Banyumas. The total population was 35 parents. Data collection techniques used comprehension tests in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data analysis uses descriptive data presented in a percentage format. The research results show that parents generally have a fairly good understanding of nutritious foods that are appropriate for children's growth and development. Parents' knowledge about good eating patterns is influenced by parents' attitudes towards food consumption behavior that is not yet fully known, and secondly by the understanding that parents believe is related to that behavior or subjective norms of disapproval, and is explained from the perspective of a parent. Whether they can control behavior; Nutrition that suits your needs is also influenced by daily eating patterns, food preparation with unbalanced nutrition in its application, and determining food ingredients according to material and non-material conditions material from parents.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Labib Sajawandi, Dewi Ambarwati, Desti Pujiati, Tatik Ariyati, Kasiro Fatmawatihttps://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/PW/article/view/3964THE INFLUENCE OF SEGEHAN MEDIA ON SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND CREATIVITY IN EARLY AGED CHILDREN 2024-07-26T03:43:58+08:00Ni Luh Ika Windayaniwindayaniika3@gmail.comKadek Ari Wisudayantiwisud83@gmail.com
This study aims to determine the effect of Segehan media on the cognitive abilities and creativity of early childhood education (PAUD) students in learning science. This research employs experimental research methodologies. The population in this study consists of 59 students from group B of the Pemaron village kindergarten. The samples for this study were randomly selected to define the experimental and control classes. The data collection approach was conducted through observation, measured using research tools. The MANOVA test was performed to analyze the data. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the Segehan Sanga Warna learning technique has an impact on students' cognitive development and creativity compared to the direct learning method. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that PAUD educators consider the use of Segehan media as an alternative method in science learning. By integrating this technique, it is expected that students' cognitive abilities and creativity can be more effectively enhanced. Furthermore, additional research with a larger and more diverse population is necessary to strengthen these findings and ensure the generalization of the results. This implies that learning methods involving cultural and creative elements, such as Segehan, can be an effective approach in early childhood education. Therefore, educators and policymakers in the field of education should consider incorporating this method into the PAUD curriculum to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Winda Ni Luh Ika Windayani, Kadek Ari Wisudayantihttps://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/PW/article/view/3888DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAMIC VALUES-BASED TEACHING MATERIAL FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND GYMNASTICS2024-09-28T08:57:59+08:00Abdul Rahmanmeri.piaud@iaincurup.ac.idMeri Hartatimeri.piaud@iaincurup.ac.id
The aim of this research was to develop appropriate teaching materials for Physical Education and Gymnastics for Early Childhood based on Islamic values, tailored to meet the needs of both lecturers and students. This study examines the effectiveness of color mixing play as a means to enhance science-related skills in young learners. Conducted as Classroom Action Research, it spans two cycles with 21 kindergarten students at Pratama Widyalaya Kumara Giri Kusuma in Jembrana Regency as participants. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and documents and were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. Results indicate a substantial improvement in active learning engagement, rising from 60.93% in Cycle I (categorized as moderately active/developing) to 90.18% in Cycle II (very active/developing exceptionally well). Correspondingly, the average learning outcomes increased from 74.50 in Cycle I to 85 in Cycle II, with learning mastery rates progressing from 75.5% to 90.4%. These findings highlight that color mixing play effectively supports the development of science skills and serves as a practical, engaging educational strategy in early childhood science education. Beyond science, color mixing play supports growth in other areas, including language, cognitive, physical motor, social-emotional, moral, and artistic development. However, a primary challenge identified was limited playtime, which restricts the extent of skill development. Despite this, the findings suggest that color mixing activities can be a valuable addition to early childhood curricula, providing a fun and interactive way to promote scientific thinking and multi-faceted development in young children.
2024-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2024 Ni Ketut Srie Kusuma Wardhani, Gusti Ayu Agung Riesa Mahedradhani
