Abstract

Stunting adalah gangguan pertumbuhan anak yang disebabkan oleh kekurangan nutrisi, infeksi, dan stimulasi psikososial yang tidak memadai. Anak stunting mengalami hambatan pertumbuhan fisik dan otak yang merugikan masa depan mereka. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas faktor determinan kejadian stunting melalui kajian review. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka konseptual penyebab stunting oleh WHO. Artikel yang relevan dari tahun 2017–2020 dicari melalui database elektronik PubMed dan Google Scholar. Studi ini menggunakan sepuluh artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Tabel matriks yang membandingkan metode penelitian, subjek penelitian, dan lokasi penelitian digunakan untuk melakukan analisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor keluarga dan rumah tangga, pemberian ASI, faktor pemberian makanan pendamping ASI, faktor infeksi, dan faktor komunitas dan sosial adalah beberapa penyebab stunting. Program penanggulangan stunting di Indonesia harus disesuaikan dengan penyebabnya. Untuk mengatasi stunting di Indonesia, disarankan untuk meningkatkan faktor keluarga dan rumah tangga, memberikan ASI eksklusif dan makanan pendamping ASI sesuai kebutuhan, mencegah dan menangani infeksi, dan memperbaiki faktor sosial dan komunikasi.
