Dinamika Tradisi Ngayah Di Desa Adat Abiantuwung, Desa Abiantuwung, Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Tabanan: Kajian Filsafat Sosial

Abstract

The ngayah tradition is a noble heritage that is carried out from generation to generation, reflecting the philosophy of social solidarity of the Balinese people and the contribution of sincere work without expecting any reward. The Abiantuwung traditional village community preserves the ngayah tradition with its dynamics and local cultural wisdom that leads to change and shift. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the ngayah tradition in the Abiantuwung Traditional Village in the context of social change using a social philosophy approach. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews. The analysis approach with Koentjaraningrat's Theory of Cultural Change, Anthony Giddens' Structuration Theory and John B. Latane's Theory of Social Impact. The results of this study provide various forms of change in the ngayah tradition in Abiantuwung, namely with reduced community participation, changes in meaning and values, and changes in time and patterns of implementation. The factors causing changes in the ngayah tradition vary including modernization and globalization, the development of mobility and urbanization and changes in economic orientation. In the implications of changes in the ngayah tradition with positive and negative impacts, namely reduced social solidarity, participation begins to shift, and the harmony of social relations that need to be reconsidered. The ngayah tradition remains alive in the Abiantuwung village with a shift in the implementation pattern and to reinterpret it creatively, critically according to the main points of local philosophy and culture.
