The focus of this study includes the analysis of social structures, cultural values, and social conflicts depicted in the short story. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the short story Guna-Guna Teruna reflects social phenomena in society, such as belief in mysticism, the dynamics of social relations, and the influence of customary norms on individual life. In addition, this short story also describes the tension between tradition and modernity in society. Therefore, the study of ethical education in Kakawin Niti Sastra is very relevant if applied and realized in the current era of globalization. The results of the study show that many interesting things can be described when examining the values ​​of ethical education in Kakawin Niti Sastra which in this context discusses ethical education based on Hindu teachings, namely Tri Kaya Parisuddha. Holistically, this Hindu ethical teaching covers aspects of human work physically and spiritually. The process of thinking (manacika) becomes the beginning of a statement (wacika) or action (kayika) that occurs in humans. The definition of Tri Kaya Parisuddha means three purified actions. The short story Raré Kumara by I Gede Putra Ariawan depicts kinship in a family and is based on the reality of human life that is reflected by the author. The stories in this collection of short stories convey messages that are relevant and valuable to society. Based on this background, this study formulates three main problems, namely: (1) what is the intrinsic structure of the Raré Kumara short story collection, (2) what aspects of the sociology of literature are contained in it, and (3) what educational values can be found. The theories used in this study are Teeuw's structuralism theory, Wellek and Warren's sociology of literature theory, and Tarigan's value theory. This study is qualitative-descriptive with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The data analysis process includes reduction, discussion, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that the Raré Kumara short story collection contains important moral messages in community life. Intrinsically, this short story includes elements such as plot, characters, setting, theme, and moral. In terms of literary sociology, a description of the author's social life and background is found. Fikri Zulfikar lindabinti01@gmail.com <p><strong><em>This study analyzes the musicalization of poetry as a medium for social criticism, focusing on the song "Ora Cucul Ora Ngebul" by Jogja Hiphop Foundation, adapted from a poem by Sindhunata. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis, this research examines how poetic messages of poverty, hard work, and structural inequality are transformed into a contemporary musical form. Data collection was conducted through documentation and literature review, then analyzed thematically and intertextually. The findings show that Jogja Hiphop Foundation successfully reinterprets Sindhunata’s social criticism by integrating local language, traditional elements, and the global genre of hip-hop. Through music, the emotional depth and urgency of social critique are amplified, making it accessible and resonant with a younger, broader audience. The musicalization process does not merely preserve the core meaning of the poem but revitalizes its relevance by addressing ongoing issues in Indonesian society, such as economic disparity and injustice. Literature as a reflection of life often presents a transmission in providing life guidance. Related to education, the essence of literature is to educate and provide entertainment. In Balinese literature, the concept of education or educating its readers is a didactic method that has been going on for a long time. Balinese literary writers include educational concepts so that their readers can be free from the darkness of the mind to enlightenment of the mind. Not a few Balinese literature emphasize the importance of learning, the goal is to produce an ability and skill that is useful in society. This study discusses the relationship between educational concepts spread in Balinese literature and categorizes them into one pattern. This study uses Julia Kristeva's intertextual theory which states that each text has a report in the previous text. By applying a qualitative approach, research data was collected using library study and recording techniques. The results of this study, first, display words related to the concept of education in Balinese literature. The phenomenon of female hegemony remains prevalent and continues to be a relevant topic of discussion across time. This condition is also reflected in a Balinese folktale (satua) titled I Sugih teken I Tiwas. Interestingly, I Sugih, portrayed as a wealthy woman (sugih), is unable to free herself from feelings of envy toward I Tiwas, a poor woman (tiwas). Why does I Sugih, despite her wealth, treat I Tiwas so poorly? I Tiwas poses no real threat to I Sugih, especially in terms of material wealth. Yet, economic dominance alone does not guarantee psychological well-being for I Sugih. What is truly going on with I Sugih? This question is explored through a comparative analysis of psychological needs fulfillment between I Sugih and I Tiwas, based on Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and using a descriptive qualitative method. KRP was written by Ida Padanda Made Sidemen, a great Balinese author of the 20th century. This literary work was born at the request of Ida Cokorda Puri Satria Denpasar (Puri Agung Denpasar). KRP as a whole contains the events of Puputan Badung and leadership teachings. This study aims to reveal the ideology of rana yadnya in the KRP text using Michael Riffaterre's semiotic theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The data collection stage was carried out using the listening method with the basic technique of free involvement. The method and technique of data analysis used is the descriptive analytical method. The method and technique of presenting the results of the data analysis used is the informal deductive-inductive method. </em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>The results of the data analysis show that through heuristic and hermeneutic reading of the KRP text, several topics were found related to the ideology of rana yadnya 'war as a sincere sacrifice', namely, a knight who masters the science of bravery against the enemy, the nature of being born as a knight, the struggle of the Badung army against the Dutch, the obligation to fight for a knight. The ideology of rana yadnya 'war as a sincere sacrifice' was inserted by the text producer through the description of the Puputan Badung story and leadership teachings in the KRP text. Besides being taught in formal education, dharma gītā is also taught in non-formal education. Non-formal learning of kidung in this study was carried out in Banjar Batu Mas, especially with Sekaa Santi Sunari Mas. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by conducting several ways of collecting data, including observation, documentation, and interviews. The research was conducted for 12 weeks with two samples of material namely Kidung Kawitan Wargasari and Kidung Bramara Ngisep Sari which used visual media in the form of kidung charts. The results of this study are the form of planning the implementation of kidung learning using the graphic method which consists of five steps, namely: 1.) Organizing the study group; 2.) Analyzing the background and needs of the learning community; 3.) Designing and preparing kidung learning; 4.) Implementing learning; and 5.) Evaluation of learning implementation. From the two kidungs, researchers took three patterns each that represented all forms of kidung graphic patterns as a whole.
