However, the management of this account does not yet involve formal collaboration with official village institutions, both Official Villages and Traditional Villages, thus creating challenges in terms of legitimacy, sustainability and work structure. This research aims to analyze the Instagram account management strategy using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, using POAC theory and the Circular Model of Some. The research results show that account management is still informal and relies on personal relationships, with obstacles such as a lack of content planning, unstructured division of tasks, limited technical skills of managers, and a lack of data-based evaluation. The proposed management strategy includes creating an editorial calendar, utilizing the Instagram Insights feature, flexible division of work roles, and participatory evaluation. To strengthen sustainability, it is recommended that there be formal cooperation through an MoU between the account manager and the village. The research conclusion emphasizes the importance of adaptive strategies and structural legitimacy in managing social media at the village level to maintain sustainability as a public information space.

Keywords: Social Media Management, Instagram, Public Information
2025-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Widya Duta: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Sosial Budaya http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/WD/article/view/5262 The Role of the Gringsing Agung Bali Institution in Efforts to Preserve Arts and Culture for Students in Bangli 2025-10-29T16:40:26+08:00 suryawan suryawan suryawanigde@gmail.com
Art is a very important part of the world of education. This study examines how the program served as a catalyst for revival through the restoration of collective memory, regeneration of performers, strengthening of social capital, interpretation of symbolic elements, and sustainability strategies. Using a qualitative approach with symbolic ethnography, data were collected through participant observation, in depth interviews, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that Burak Bawana Menak acted as a cultural trigger, revitalizing Wayang Topeng Menak through: (1) intergenerational knowledge transfer between senior masters and young performers, (2) reinforcement of
cultural identity within the community, (3) active involvement of the arts community and cultural organizations, (4) strengthening of social capital through local networks and government support, and (5) increased public visibility via media amplification. Success factors included community social capital, symbolic government recognition, and media coverage, while challenges remained in maestro regeneration, funding limitations,
and adapting to contemporary audience preferences. Long-term success will require multi-stakeholder synergy, digitalization strategies, and formal recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Widya Duta: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Sosial Budaya http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/WD/article/view/4747 Digital Public Relations Account Through Instagram @PMUQI in Maintaining Existence Pondok Pesantren Ummul Quro Al-Islami 2025-10-29T16:35:08+08:00 Nabila Adzhana Putri Ariadi Fauzi 1971503220@student.budiluhur.ac.id Ni Gusti Ayu Ketut Kurniasari kurnia@gmail.com
Social Media or often referred to as social media is a digital platform that facilitates users to interact with each other or share content in the form of writing, photos, videos, and is a digital platform that provides facilities to carry out social activities for each user. Beyond its ritualistic function, penjor has evolved into a system of signs in contemporary Balinese public space, reflecting the interplay between religious values, cultural identity, and commercial interests. This study analyzes penjor using the semiotic approaches of Charles Sanders Peirce and Roland Barthes to examine how meaning is constructed, communicated, and interpreted within a modern social context. The findings reveal that penjor holds multiple layers of meaning: as a cosmological representation of Mount Agung and the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, as a marker of Balinese cultural identity, and as an aesthetic-commercial object within the tourism industry. This transformation creates a dialectic between sacralization and commodification, where traditional meanings are often displaced by symbolic functions in public settings. Nevertheless, resistance to the reduction of sacred meaning persists among local communities, demonstrating collective efforts to preserve the authenticity of the symbol through contextual adaptation. These findings affirm that penjor functions not only as a religious expression but also as a form of visual communication that actively shapes cosmological narratives and cultural identity amidst modernization and tourism.

2025-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Widya Duta: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Sosial Budaya http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/WD/article/view/5740 The Practice of Belis: Traditional Marriages in The Hindu Community at Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara 2025-12-01T01:40:58+08:00 Diah Nirmala Dewi diahnirmala@uhnsugriwa.ac.id I Nengah Duija nengahduija@gmail.com I Nyoman Yoga Segara yogasegara@uhnsugriwa.ac.id
Belis is the highest form of respect for a woman. Belis is an important process in West Manggarai traditional weddings, especially from the man's family to the woman's family. Belis is a symbol to maintain a woman's honor before the wedding ceremony. Belis is an object given by the man's family to the woman as a dowry in a traditional wedding. The pros and cons regarding the high price of belis have sparked debate to this day, even though the purpose of belis is an honor given by the man to protect his daughter in marriage. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included traditional leaders in Labuan Bajo, Jro Mangku, community members who are familiar with the practice of belis, and some who have practiced the tradition. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of the belis practice in the Hindu community in Labuan Bajo has several reasons, namely as a form of respect for the bride's extended family, a symbol of the man's responsibility and readiness, a bond between two families, maintaining the honor and dignity of women, and a cultural heritage that must be preserved.
2025-09-30T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Widya Duta: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Sosial Budaya
