In the context of Balinese Hindu culture, an ecological crisis like this is not only understood as a physical problem, but also as a result of the weakening of human moral and spiritual values towards the environment, one of which is throwing rubbish carelessly, causing floods and damaging the environment. This paper aims to examine the Tri Kaya Parisudha teachings of purity of thought (manacika), words (wacika), and actions (kayika) as a cultural strategy in controlling floods in Bali. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature study, and Library Research. This method is carried out by reading and analyzing various specific sources. The results of this paper show that the application of manacika parisudha forms ecological awareness, wacika parisudha strengthens public communication that fosters environmental awareness, and kayika parisudha is realized through concrete actions such as preserving rivers and subak. Tri Kaya Parisudha functions as ecological ethics and strategy culture that balances the relationship between humans and nature (Tri Hita Karana). These values strengthen local culture-based flood control in Bali.
2025-11-22T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/5689 Integrasi Cerita Itihasa dalam Media Pembelajaran Digital Interaktif untuk Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Penatih, Badung, Bali. 2025-11-08T04:35:06+08:00 Arimbawa I Nengah inengaharimbawa@uhnsugriwa.ac.id
This study aimed to develop and implement interactive digital learning media based on the Itihasa story as a means of strengthening character education for students at SDN Penatih 1, Badung, Bali. The research background was based on the urgent need for a learning model that is able to integrate local cultural values with the development of digital technology that is appropriate to the characteristics of digital-native students. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and a trial of media use on fourth-grade students. The results of the study indicated that interactive digital learning media based on Itihasa can increase learning motivation, student engagement, and understanding of character values such as honesty, discipline, empathy, cooperation, and moral courage. Students become more active, focused, and responsive to the delivery of moral values through animation, interactive quizzes, and situational simulations based on the Ramayana and Mahabharata stories. In addition, teachers consider this media relevant, contextual, and effective as a means of preserving local culture especially Balinese Hindu values in learning. Obstacles encountered include limited digital devices, internet network stability, and teacher readiness in operating the technology. Overall, the integration of the Itihasa story into interactive digital media has proven effective in strengthening character education and can serve as an innovative, local wisdom-based learning model in the digital age.
2025-11-22T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/5543 PENANAMAN AJARAN AGAMA HINDU DALAM MENCEGAH PERILAKU BULLYING DI SMA (SLUA) SARASWATI 1 DENPASAR 2025-10-13T00:17:34+08:00 I Gede Raka Prabawa suryawanigde@gmail.com Ni Wayan Arini suryawanigde@gmail.com I Gde Suryawan suryawanigde@gmail.com
The school environment is an environment that should be a safe and comfortable space in the teaching and learning process. This article examines the Hindu aesthetic dimensions that underwrite its sacrality, focusing on pre- and post-performance ritual protocol, the one-act staging of Ngerereh Daging Suci, the role of the gamelan ensemble, the closing phase of ngidergita, and the configuration of performance space. The study employs a qualitative, interpretive, and ethnographic design through participant observation, in-depth interviews with priests, sekeha leaders and members, dancers, and custodians of tapel masks, alongside literature review and photographic documentation. Thematically guided analysis draws on wiraga–wirama–wirasa, rasa and bhāva, taksu, Tri Hita Karana, and desa–kāla–patra. Findings indicate a consistent ritual chain comprising piuning, reception of banten taksu, purification of masks and dancers, preparation of banten arepan, performance, ngidergita, and prayascita. The one-act staging integrates the needs of the yadnya with the Ramayana narrative, supported by the movement typology of Nyamir, Nayog, and Nyeregseg, and by tapel–costume iconography oriented to dharma–adharma and pangider bhuwana (cosmological color-directions). Musical accompaniment has evolved from tingklik (bamboo) to bebatelan (bronze) ensembles that actively shape dramaturgy through angsel cues and cadential motives. Performance spaces are selected to satisfy sacral and communicative principles. The study concludes that Hindu aesthetics function as a mechanism of tradition maintenance, aligning satyam, śivam, and sundaram to realize taksu as the apex of rasa–bhāva experience. Implications include establishing minimal sacred protocols for public stages, strengthening community-based aesthetic education, policy support for safeguarding sacred paraphernalia and archives, and comparative research across villages. Theoretically, the article maps the relation between aesthetic values and performative parameters that sustain communal experience.
2025-11-22T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/5705 Pengawasan Hutan Dalam Pelestarian Lingkungan Berbasis Tri Hita Karana Di Desa Adat Tenganan Pegringsingan Karangasem 2025-11-09T09:50:06+08:00 Komang Dewi Komala Yogantari kyogantari@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the role of forest monitoring in environmental conservation in the Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village, Karangasem, Bali, with a focus on sustainable forest management and local community involvement. Forests in the Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village have a very important role, not only as a natural resource for the local community, but also as an ecosystem buffer that supports biodiversity. Effective forest monitoring is needed to prevent forest damage and deforestation, as well as to maintain sustainable forest use. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, direct observation, and literature studies to explore the perspectives of the Tenganan community and the role of government policies in forest management. The results show that the local wisdom of the Tenganan community plays an important role in maintaining forest sustainability, although there are still challenges in integrating traditional values with more modern forest management policies. Therefore, this study also explores solutions that can be applied to improve forest monitoring, both through local wisdom-based approaches and modern technology. It is expected that the results of this study can contribute to the development of more sustainable forest management policies, provide economic and social benefits to the community, and support environmental conservation in Bali as a whole.
2025-11-22T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 VIDYA SAMHITA: Jurnal Penelitian Agama http://ojs.uhnsugriwa.ac.id/index.php/VS/article/view/5699 KAJIAN NILAI PENDIDIKAN HINDU DALAM YOGA ASANA 2025-11-08T10:06:46+08:00 I Made Sukariawan agungriesaihdn@gmail.com
The goal of Hinduism is to achieve physical and material well-being(Jagaditha) and mental and spiritual well-being (moksa). Of course, the body must bewell maintained in order to achieve the goals of life according to Hinduism. To achieve these goals, one must be supported by good health. This is because the body is closely related to the mind, and harmony between the two enablesunion with God. To support a healthy body,Hindu teachings recommend practicing yoga asanas. However, the educational values contained inyoga asanas are rarely discussed theoretically.
